Database does not start after applying 9.2.0.7 Patch.

Database does not start after applying 9.2.0.7 Patch.

I am using asynchronous I/O.

My init.ora settings are:

#Parameters for asynchronous I/O

filesystemio_options   = setall

_dbwr_async_io          = TRUE

disk_asynch_io           = TRUE

The database ran well. I then upgraded to 9.2.0.7 and the database would
not start.

I got the following error:

ORACLE instance started.
Total System Global Area 555292092 bytes
Fixed Size 452028 bytes
Variable Size 251658240 bytes
Database Buffers 301989888 bytes
Redo Buffers 1191936 bytes
ORA-00205 (See ORA-00205.ora-code.com): error in identifying controlfile, check alert log for more
info

The work around is to remove the 3 parameters from the init.ora file.

I logged a TAR and Oracle said that I should apply patches 4199559,
4276957.

I have applied the patches and I still get the same error.

My alert.log entries look like this:

ALTER DATABASE   MOUNT

Fri Dec 16 13:06:16 2005

ORA-00204 (See ORA-00204.ora-code.com): error in reading (block 1, # blocks 1) of controlfile

ORA-00202 (See ORA-00202.ora-code.com): controlfile: '/control01/fin/control01.ctl'

ORA-27091 (See ORA-27091.ora-code.com): skgfqio: unable to queue I/O

ORA-27072 (See ORA-27072.ora-code.com): skgfdisp: I/O error

Linux Error: 22: Invalid argument
